Stroke & TIA

A TIA is a medical emergency — up to 10% of patients have a full stroke within 48 hours without proper workup. Dr. Alam provides urgent and ongoing stroke and TIA care with in-office Carotid Ultrasound and Transcranial Doppler imaging available on-site.

Evaluation includes a detailed neurological examination, vascular risk factor review, and in-office imaging to assess carotid artery health and intracranial blood flow. For post-stroke patients, Dr. Alam provides long-term follow-up, medication management, and secondary prevention planning — because reducing the risk of a second stroke is just as important as recovering from the first.
