Neuropathy

Numbness, tingling, and burning in the hands or feet are among the most undertreated neurological complaints. At Alam Neurology Clinic, Dr. Alam uses in-office nerve conduction studies, EMG, and skin biopsy to accurately diagnose and classify neuropathy.

Treatment is tailored to the underlying cause — whether diabetic, idiopathic, hereditary, or compressive. Carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy, and radiculopathy are also evaluated and treated. Shockwave Therapy is available in-office as a non-invasive option, and skin biopsy is offered for suspected small fiber neuropathy when standard testing is inconclusive.
